Our brand new cloud-based IT system came online at the end of the first quarter. The upgrade is the latest phase in our long-term investment plan to cement Advanced Materials’ position as one of the country’s leading silicone rubber extrusion manufacturers.

The overhaul of our IT infrastructure brings greater security, flexibility and speed to our processes. We are now even better equipped to scale our business to meet customer demands and can offer them even faster response times and even stronger data security in relation to information migration and protection.
Furthermore, as a result of the IT systems upgrade, we have enhanced our disaster recovery infrastructure. This means that customer data and technology, and ours, are even better protected.

IT systems overhaul is the latest phase of a long-term investment plan
The upgrading of our IT systems in the first quarter of 2019 follows on from significant investment in our manufacturing capabilities over the last 12 months. We have invested in a new Iddon extruder machine, a new silicone mill for manufacturing compound and a new hotbox. We now operate eight extrusion machines at our Littlehampton base.
Alongside our investment in new equipment and systems, we are also continuing to expand the Advanced Materials team. We have recently strengthened our customer service, toolmaking and milling teams and updated our staff training system.
