From our manufacturing site, based in Littlehampton, we provide a number of FDA compliant and WRAS approved silicone rubber products, including:

Food Grade Sponge (FGS)

Advanced Materials has developed a food grade sponge independently tested for our FGS20 grade which meets the FDA 177.2600 and BfR XV Silicones regulations and EC 1935 2004.

Ideal for use on food production lines, its low density is perfect for compression seals and dampening on food production lines. Other features of our unique food grade sponge include:

  • Closed Cell
  • Wide temperature range -60C to +200C
  • Available in any pale colours (e.g. light blue for the food industry)
  • Profiles and strips can be complete with self-adhesive backing

Inflatable Seals

Pneumatic rubber seals are a specialised product.  We are unique in the whole process being in-house, from design stages, tool creation (CAD/CAM technology), onto manufacturing extrusion and then moulding the joint and fitting the valves. We test all seals in-house using our pressure gauge to test to a specific PSI. This allows us to create uniform seals that perform for the application you require, from oven door seals through to watertight door seals.

Silicone Rubber Extrusions for the Drink Industry

Our range of silicone rubber products can be manufactured to meet WRAS specifications for the drinks industry. The high and low temperature range of WRAS silicone rubber means it can be used for a variety of jobs for the beverage industry.  Applications include coffee machine seals and water pumps in drink machines.

Food and Drink Products to Industry Standards

All our silicone rubber products for the food and drink industry meet the requirements of the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the German BfR, as well as the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme (WRAS), meaning our products can be used with drinking water up to 85°C.
