Advanced Materials is in the process of another production expansion to increase capacity.
We have had the flooring reinforced on one of our Mezzanine areas in the factory, and to this we’ve added two new small Colmec extrusion machines. These have been connected up and are operational, and in the coming weeks they will get their own horizontal curing conveyor ovens (Hotboxes), their coiling trays, ducting, and all the other equipment to turn them into productive equipment for the team.
This capacity increase was initially commissioned specifically for a specialist recurring fine bore tubing job that we’ve made here at the factory for over 28 years.
Demand for the small diameter silicone sleeves has increased by 24% over recent years, and is projected to grow more in the next couple of years too, so, to keep up with customer demand, and to also allow much needed growth to our general production, we took the steps to commission the two new production lines.
